Energy Waste Reduction (EWR) Report Summary - MPSC Case Number U‐18320
Wyandotte Municipal Services contracted with Franklin Energy through the Michigan Public Power Agency (MPPA) – Energy Efficiency Service Committee (EESC) to administer the EWR efforts in order to comply with 2008 PA-295, as amended by 2016 PA-342. Wyandotte Municipal Services also self-implemented some Residential EWR Programs in 2017. The Michigan Municipal Electric Association (MMEA) filed a biennial 2-year EWR Plan with the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) on August 1, 2017, as required by 2008 PA-295, as amended by 2016 PA-342.
In 2017, Wyandotte Municipal Services spent $242,950 on EWR Programs and achieved 1,226 MWh of energy savings.
MMEA filed a joint 2017 EWR Annual Report for Wyandotte Municipal Services with the MPSC on May 31, 2018.
Renewable Energy Report Annual Summary – MPSC Case Number U-16638
Wyandotte Municipal Services has taken the following actions to comply with the REP standards:
Filed a 20-year Renewable Energy Plan (REP) with the MPSC on March 31, 2009 as required by PA 295. The REP was found to be in compliance on July 1, 2009.
Wyandotte Municipal Services filed a Biennial Review of REP on December 1, 2017.
Wyandotte Municipal Services acquired from renewable energy systems during the reporting
period 23,799 MWh of renewable energy. Wyandotte Municipal Services acquired 23,799
Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) and 724 incentive-Renewable Energy Credits (iRECs) for the
2017 reporting period.
