New Customer Information
Wyandotte is unique due to our ability to offer residents and businesses municipal Electric, Water, Cable, Internet, and Phone Service.
To initiate new service, customers should note these requirements:
- Residents or business owners will need to come to the Customer Assistance Center inside City Hall, 3200 Biddle Avenue, 1st fl, to sign a utility contract (click to view sample). All utilities will be billed monthly on a single bill mailed to your home or business.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION TO START NEW RESIDENTIAL
UTILITY SERVICES
Renting:

New Signed Lease

Driver's License/State Identification Card

Social Security Card
-
$75 electrical deposit (if tenant is responsible to pay electric)

Drill letter signed by landlord
Purchased Home/Land Contract:
Cable/Internet/Phone Only Accounts
- New Signed Lease
- Lease must state that the landlord will be responsible
- Drill Letter (only if new lines need to be ran in the property)
- Driver's License/State Identification card
- Social Security Number

Renting/Leasing:

New Signed Lease
- Must have start/end date
- Must state what utilities tenant is responsible to pay
- Water Affidavit (if tenant is responsible for water)
- Certificate of Approval/Occupancy
- EIN (Federal ID Number)
- LLC/Business Papers
- These papers must show that they have been filed with the State
- Driver's License/State Identification Card
- Electrical Deposit
- Residential Home $75
- Commercial Building - 1 and 1/2 times highest bill on previous account
Buying/Land Contract:

Deed/Land Contract
- Certificate of Approval/Occupancy
- EIN (Federal ID Number)
- LLC/Business Papers
- These papers must show that they have been filed with the State
- Driver's License/State Identification Card
- Electrical Deposit
- $75 if a residential home
- 1 and 1/2 times largest bill on previous account for commercial buildings
