New Customer Information
Wyandotte is unique due to our ability to offer residents and businesses municipal Electric, Water, Cable, Internet, and Phone Service.
To initiate new service, customers should note these requirements:
Residents or business owners will need to come to the Customer Assistance Center inside City Hall, 3200 Biddle Avenue, 1st fl, to sign a utility contract (click to view sample). All utilities will be billed monthly on a single bill mailed to your home or business.
Bring a picture ID
A $75 Electric deposit will be required
New property owners must supply the Engineering Department's ‘Certificate of Approval’ and a 'Signed Deed’ (i.e. Quit Claim or Warrant), 'Land Contract', the 'Title Policy’, or a ‘Court Order’
New rental tenants that are required to have electric and/or water service in their names must supply a signed lease stating authorization to change the name.
New businesses leasing the property must supply the Engineering Department's 'Certificate of Occupancy’. Businesses purchasing the property must also supply the 'Certificate of Occupancy’ in addition to either a ‘Deed’ (i.e. Quit Claim or Warranty), the ‘Title Policy’, or a ‘Court Order’, an electric deposit is also required and is based on the size and type of business.
Cable, Internet & Phone– Packages, rates and installation fees are provided at the time of set-up and will appear on the first utility bill.
